Many people, especially counterfeiters, want to know how a real Rolex watch or time piece is made. The truth is that you will never find a good recipe for a genuine Rolex watch. There are, however, things that differ from Rolex timepiece to Rolex timepiece and that is what you will be reading about today. Also, there will be a second to tell a fake, faux or replica Rolex time piece from a genuine Rolex watch; you will also be shown how to tell the deference between, what is called low end faux Rolex watches and high end faux Rolex watches.

As we all know, like a lot of higher priced timepieces that come from a brand name, the Rolex timepiece is always being counterfeited. The counterfeits are generally being sold to tourists and are made in countries like Singapore and China. These watches are usually sold on the street for about $5 for the low end tome pieces to $ 1000 for the higher end time pieces. If you are wondering what a low end and high end timepiece is this is for you. A low end Rolex watch is usually a watch that you can tell is a fake, so it will have a fault in the way the glass is cut, a second hand that ticks and doesnt smoothly run, where almost all genuine Rolex timepieces have smooth running second hands. Faults can easily be spotted on a low end fake Rolex, just by looking at it, like the fact the that the authentication sticker on the back will be solid green or a pattern of the name Rolex, where the original will have a hologram with a crown floating above the 3 dimensional effect. Also the almost all Rolex watches are engraved with the name Rolex on the back, so they can try to prove that it is a Rolex, where Rolex never ever engraved their timepieces.

The high end faux Rolex watches are harder to tell apart from the originals, however it is not impossible, you only need to keep an original up next to the fake and see for yourself. For example the transparent case that some of the fake watches have, as to see the working mechanism, no original Rolex watch has a transparent backing, expect for some watches made in the early 1930’s. Also all original Rolex watches are heavy in weight, where the fakes are a bit lighter and are very distinctive.  A lot of the original Rolex watches also have a crown engraving of the face that is really light and hard to find, however counterfeiters caught on to this and started matching the crown marking, but the fake is still noticeable as the crown is a bit darker and just a bit bigger than that of the original.    One other thing to remember is that all originals works are smoothed and finished perfectly and not rough and will not have any sharp edges.
